81.disqualify(P725)

(1) 作“to stop someone from taking part in an activity because they have broken a rule 【因犯规而】取消……的资格”解时,构成“be disqualified from doing something”。例如:

He was disqualified from driving.他被吊销了驾驶资格。

(2)作“to unfairly prevent someone from doing a job or taking part in an activity 【不公正地】剥夺……的资格【权利】”解时,构成“disqualify somebody from doing something”。例如:

82.dissuade(P727)作“to persuade someone not to do something 劝阻“解时,构成” dissuade somebody from (doing) something“。例如:

83.dragooninto(P757)作“to force someone to do something they do not want to do 强迫【某人】做【某事】“解时,构成”dragoon somebody into doing something“。例如:

84.dread(P762)作“to feel anxious or worried about something that is going to happen or may happen畏惧,惧怕;担心“解时,构成

(1)“dread doing something“。例如:

I’m dreading going back to work.我害怕回去工作。

(2)“dread somebody doing something“。例如:

Tim dreaded his parents finding out.蒂姆担心他父母发现。

85.dream (P763)作“o think about something that you would like to happen or have 梦想,希望“解时,构成” dream of/about doing something“。例如:

She dreamed of becoming a chef.她梦想成为一名大厨。
