with the help of …可以表示“随着……的发展吗

在一位学生使用的辅导资料中，有这样一道选择题及讲解：

【答案】D

意：随着当代科技的发展，科学家们拍到了一张黑洞的照片。

【解析】A. At在……；B. In在……里面；C. On在……上；D. With随着，带有。With the help of modern technology表示随着科技的发展。根据题意，故选D。

我认为答案选D是正确的。但是，讲解内容中的 “With the help of modern technology表示随着科技的发展”是错误的。

with the help of …的意思应该是“在……的帮助下；借助于……”，不是“随着……的发展”。例如：

（1）with the help of sb / with sb’s help We manage , with the help of a nurse who comes daily . 有一位护士每天都来，在她的帮助下，我们勉强应付。（摘自《朗文当代高级英语辞典》第6版）

【注意】with the help of 后面应该接名词，不能接人称代词宾语。例如：要说with his help ,不能说 with the help of him。在 with sb’s help 中的 sb’s 可以是名词所有格或者形容词性物主代词。例如:with the teacher’s help 在这位老师的帮助下， with her help 在她的帮助下。

（2）with the help of sth. I managed to make myself understood with the help of a phrase book . 在短语手册的帮助下我勉强让别人明白了我的意思。（摘自《朗文当代高级英语辞典》第6版）

当然， with 也可以表示“随着”的意思，但是后面不能接the help 。例如：
