数 词
定义:表示数目多少或顺序次第的词叫作数词。
数词包括基数词和序数词两种
- 基数词
A、 1至12的基数词是独立的词:one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve
- 13至19的基数词以后缀-teen结尾:thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen
C、 20至90的整十位数的词以后缀-ty结尾:twenty thirty forty fifty sixty seventy eighty ninety
D、 几十几的基数词由十位数的词和个位数的词合成,中间加连字符“-” eg: 34 thirty-four 42 forty-two
E、 三位数的基数词须在百位和十位(若无十位则和个位)之间加and eg: 158 one hundred and fifty-eight
F、 四位数即1,000以上的基数词,从后往前数,每三位加一个逗号“,”第一个逗号前为千thousand, 第二个逗号前为百万million, 第三个逗号前为十亿billion
eg: 6,364,285,751 six billion, three hundred and sixty-four million, two hundred and eighty-five thousand, seven hundred and fifty one
- 序数词
A、 第1到第3: first second third
B、 第4到第19的序数词以后缀-th结尾: fourth fifth sixth seventh eighth ninth tenth eleventh twelfth thirteenth fourteenth fifteenth sixteenth seventeenth eighteenth nineteenth
C、 第20到第90的十位数序数词变-y为-i再加eth: twentieth thirtieth fortieth fiftieth sixtieth seventieth eightieth ninetieth
D、 整单位数的序数词直接加th: hundredth thousandth millionth billionth
E、 其余的序数词的构成为:基数词+序数词 eg: 132nd one hundred and thirty-second
- 小数表达法 eg: 3.26 three point two six
- 分数表达法 eg: 1/5 one fifth 2/5 two fifths
1/5 one in five 或 one out of five
- 百分数表达法 eg: 45% forty-five percent
- 倍数表达法
A、 A is + 倍数as + adj./adv.原级(many/much + n.) + as + B
eg: Line A is three times as long as line B.
(Australia has fourteen times as many people as America.)
B、 A is + 倍数 + adj./adv.比较级 + than B
eg: Line A is twice longer than line B.
C、 A is + 倍数 + the + 相应n.(height/width/length/size) + of + B
eg: Line A is three times the length of line B.
D、 A is + 倍数 + that/those + of B
eg: Tom’s age is twice that of Jim’s.
